Division of Human Resources Student HR Background Check Assistant

Talent Acquisition & Management within the Division of Human Resources is seeking a student to join their team as a Student HR Background Check Assistant.
Key Responsibilities- Receives and reviews correspondence and requests for background checks.
- Provides university-wide support to the Talent Acquisition Department and Recruiters in critical and timely process management of staff policies and procedures.
- Initiates background check requests and monitors receipt of results for current employees with periodic recheck requirements.
- Prepares background and fingerprinting check reports.
- Collects and analyzes data/metrics for assessment of quality of service delivery.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all requests, results, and decisions.
- A current Human Resources Management student or a student in a related field.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
- Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software programs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
