Position Overview:
This role is part of the Air Mobility Command, focusing on food service operations.
The individual will be responsible for arranging cafeteria lines, steam tables, dining areas, and service stations with a variety of food options, including proteins, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, and beverages.
The food will be served in a cafeteria style. This is a Flexible (Intermittent) position; hours may vary based on operational needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain cafeteria lines, steam tables, and dining areas with hot and cold food items.
- Serve food in a cafeteria style and ensure cleanliness of the area post-meal.
- Prepare dining tables for service, placing food and beverages, and restocking items as needed.
- Operate dishwashing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure cleanliness of all kitchen tools.
- Conduct thorough cleaning tasks, including ceilings, exhaust hoods, and kitchen equipment.
- Unload food deliveries and manage waste disposal from work areas.
- Assemble and serve fresh salads and sandwiches, and prepare beverages.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Open to all applicants. Experience may include both paid and volunteer work.
- Must be able to follow simple instructions and operate basic cleaning tools and machines.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
- Physical capability to lift or move items weighing up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
The work environment may involve exposure to high temperatures and humidity from cooking and dishwashing.
Noise levels can be elevated, and caution is required to avoid slips on wet surfaces.
Additional safety considerations include handling hot liquids and sharp tools.
Additional Information:
Candidates must meet all qualification and background requirements. Direct deposit is mandatory, and a probationary period may be necessary.
