Electroencephalographic Technologist Opportunity

Matrix Providers is seeking a highly skilled Electroencephalographic Technologist to provide diagnostic services to our patients at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine diagnostic studies and services using electroencephalography (EEG) equipment.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Determine patient preparation requirements and modify recording strategies as needed.
  • Process and submit studies to requesting physicians in a timely manner.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks to ensure equipment accuracy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations requiring resuscitation procedures.
  • Review and disposition consultation requests.
  • Schedule patients and maintain equipment and electrodes.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures and prepare them for studies.
  • Perform urgent and expedited EEG studies as needed.
  • Conduct EEG and evoked potentials in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain continuing medical education credits to maintain EEG certification.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in electroencephalography and evoked potential technology.
  • Current certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
  • Basic life support certification through an American Heart Association approved training program.
  • One year of full-time experience as an Electroencephalographic Technologist.
