Matrix Providers is seeking a highly skilled Electroencephalographic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic studies and services in a fast-paced environment.

  • Employment Status: Full-Time (W2) Employee
  • Compensation: $35.52/hour to $36.60/hour, plus $4.23/hour for Health & Welfare
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Some on call and overtime may be required.

  • Qualification Requirements: The Electroencephalographic Technologist must have a Certificate in the specialty area, be certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET), and possess current basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association approved training program.
  • Job Summary:
    • Perform routine diagnostic studies and services
    • Adhere to safety policies and procedures
    • Determine if any special patient preparation is required
    • Modify or adjust the recording strategy and/or instrument parameters
    • Process studies and submit them to the requesting physician
    • Document all procedures and maintain records
    • Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks
    • Recognize the need for and institute emergency measures
    • Review and disposition consultation requests
    • Schedule patients
    • Maintain equipment and electrodes
    • Educate patients regarding the studies performed
    • Perform urgent and expedited EEG studies
    • Perform EEG and/or evoked potentials in various settings
    • Maintain continuing medical education credits
