Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Bloomingdale's Sales Professional is to guide and inspire customers, helping them to see style as a form of creative expression. With a commitment to exceptional service, a keen interest in fashion, and strong product knowledge, they build and maintain long-term client relationships both in-store and online. Sales Professionals deliver the Bloomingdale's customer experience through engaging conversations, ensuring a welcoming and inquisitive atmosphere that fosters human connection during the shopping experience. They actively navigate the sales floor, assess customer needs, promote our Loyalty programs, and support the shopping journey from beginning to end. Additionally, Sales Professionals uphold operational excellence by utilizing our fulfillment systems and maintaining merchandise presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience both in-store and online, fostering customer relationships
  • Drive sales through technology proficiency with in-store and online clients
  • Engage in merchandising and operational tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Demonstrates open and ongoing communication, effectively conveying information clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across various functions and levels
  • Creative and strategic thinker focused on meeting customer needs
  • Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety guidelines and procedural manuals
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the store
  • May require reaching, crouching, kneeling, and color vision
  • Frequent use of technology, including handheld devices and cash registers, is necessary for job functions
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs regularly
