We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Locksmith Technician, you will be responsible for installing, adjusting, repairing, and opening residential and commercial locks of all types and makes.
Key Responsibilities- Install, adjust, repair, and open residential and commercial locks of all types and makes.
- Make keys and adjust/change lock combinations.
- Rebuild, change, and service mechanical and/or electrical locks using specialized equipment.
- Considerable years of experience in locksmithing.
- Ability and experience installing and repairing residential and commercial door locks and hardware.
- Ability and experience installing, maintaining, and repairing security devices for commercial buildings.
- Ability and experience making duplicate keys.
- Ability and experience re-keying locking cylinders.
- Ability and experience maintaining professionalism and customer service.
- Ability and experience maintaining customer confidentiality/privacy.
- 5 years of experience (university campus experience preferred).
- Ability and experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic, magnetic keypad, and vault systems, including related software.
- Locksmith certification through one of the following three locksmith organizations:
- Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA).
- Society of Professional Locksmiths (SOPL).
- Institutional Locksmiths Association (IA).
