The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Linux systems management, along with a solid foundation in Big Data technologies, automation, scripting, and cloud services, particularly AWS. This role involves not only the automation of deployment processes but also ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. This position supports a hybrid work model.

  • Facilitate the development and deployment of cloud infrastructure within AWS
  • Automate deployment workflows to guarantee the dependability and scalability of our services
  • Oversee and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Collaborate with software development teams to seamlessly integrate their applications into our infrastructure
  • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary resolutions
  • Continuously enhance processes and tools to maintain high availability and performance standards
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, actively seeking innovative solutions to improve our infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application in infrastructure management
  • Experience in application and operating system deployment, scaling, and management
  • Ability to code in multiple programming languages, including bash, Python, or Go
  • Proficient in Git and other development tools, including deployment pipelines
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites
  • Possession of a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ certification) is required.
