Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes Infrastructure Developer & Python

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Quevera LLC. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Kubernetes platform infrastructure, including but not limited to, Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code, Security/Policy & Network, Monitoring & Logging, Storage, CI/CD Pipelines, Service Mesh, and Backup & Restore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Kubernetes platform infrastructure to meet consumer needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, development, and product teams to understand operational product requirements and feature specifications
  • Manage time for assigned tasks and provide Level of Effort (LOE) forecasting with stakeholders
  • Ensure industry and security best practices are implemented across the team
  • Research and study trends with relevant tools and technologies from the industry and Agency
  • Participate in team code reviews, cross-training, brainstorming, sprint review/demo, and sprint planning sessions
  • Create and maintain clear and concise implementation documentation and SOPs
  • Report bugs and new feature proposals to the CCB
  • Provide after-hours call-in support as needed

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) Application Development and Administration
  • Containerization
  • Linux (RHEL) Administration skills, including storage and interface management, hardening, patching, and bash scripting
  • Ansible or similar automation technologies for configuration management, maintenance, and deployment of operating systems and applications
  • Virtualization/VMware
  • Cloud-Providers (AWS, AZURE or similar)
  • Microservices
  • Terraform
  • Go
  • Python
  • Familiarity with GitLab or similar
  • Familiarity with Helm Charts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Active Sec + IAD 2 certification
