Job Summary

Vital Medical Transport is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will provide critical care to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport to medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls, assessing patients' conditions and providing treatment as needed.
  • Administer medications, use backboards and restraints, and transport patients between facilities.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certifications and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Valid Tennessee EMT License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure in stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • PHTLS Certificate
  • ITLS Certificate
  • National Registry Certifications
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, and loud noises
  • Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, and pushing or pulling objects over 150lbs
  • Ability to work in all environments and evaluate situations to ensure patient safety
