Job Title: Paramedic

Vital Medical Transport is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care to patients in need.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls for assistance.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine courses of treatment.
  • Administer medications as outlined in approved standing medical orders.
  • Use backboards and restraints to keep patients safe during transport.
  • Transfer patients to emergency departments and report observations and treatment to staff.
  • Create patient care reports and document medical care provided.
  • Replace used supplies and check or clean equipment after use.
  • Safely drive an ambulance and transport patients between facilities.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State of Tennessee Licensure as a Paramedic.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Skills and experience with a high proficiency at the BLS level of service.
  • Interpersonal skills including compassion, listening, and communicating.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Preferred:
  • ACLS Certificate.
  • PHTLS Certificate.
  • ITLS Certificate.
  • National Registry Certification.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
  • Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 100lbs.
  • Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations.
