Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and bend comfortably
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks over extended periods
  • Experience in operating cleaning machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Knowledge in handling and utilizing cleaning agents safely
  • Understanding of safety regulations related to occupational hazards
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Capacity to lift heavy items, ascend ladders, and work at various heights

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting surfaces including windowsills, and scrubbing floors and equipment.
  • Sanitizing: Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, kitchen sinks, countertops, water fountains, and custodial tools.
  • Waste Management: Emptying trash bins and collecting recyclable materials.
  • Minor Repairs: Addressing simple repairs, such as changing light bulbs, fixing toilet flappers, or repairing furniture.
  • Security: Ensuring the safety of the premises by locking and unlocking doors, windows, and gates as required.
  • Safety Monitoring: Reporting any safety, sanitation, or fire hazards observed.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Picking up litter and keeping pathways clear of debris.
  • Additional Duties: Wiping down wooden surfaces with appropriate cleaning solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Preferred: One year of experience in janitorial services
