Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join our team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients recovering from illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provide care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other healthcare team members.
  • Assess unit needs, available resources for current and oncoming shift(s) based on patient acuity, volume, individuals and family needs and special clinical procedures or interventions pending.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans that reflect collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, the patient, and the family as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; taking appropriate action based on the assessment of the patient.
  • Participate and cooperate in the unit-based Quality Improvement process.
  • Support, maintain, and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care based on best practice using a holistic approach to care, and by adhering to effectively using resources and personnel.
  • Practice, develop, and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Serve as patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy, autonomy, and dignity by protecting confidentiality of information.
  • Formulate individualized teaching and educational plan based on identified learning need and evaluate the effectiveness of learning including the patient and family as appropriate.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meeting, workshops and shows responsibility for own professional practice and ongoing education.
Requirements
  • Must possess a current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
  • Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Tennessee.
