Job Summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Inspector's Aide to join our Florida Construction Management division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections, reviewing plans and specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Review and interpret plans, site layouts, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and/or pavement to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
  • Gather and maintain record documents, make field notes, and perform computations as required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT Certification prior to field work and additional certifications prior to performing independent testing.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

The work is performed in the field, and the ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed is required. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
