CEI Project Administrator Job Description

At MEHTA Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled CEI Project Administrator to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our CEI Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate CEI services, including administrative tasks and field operations
  • Direct and assign tasks to administrative staff and field staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Assist in all phases of construction projects, from planning to completion
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in solving work problems and making decisions
  • Responsible for progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation procedures and policies
  • Assist in marketing and business development efforts to promote MEHTA Engineering's services

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering degree plus two years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects, or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus eight years of CEI or roadway or bridge construction experience, two of those years involved in relevant transportation projects

Licensure:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida, or
  • Must obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months if registered in another state

Qualifications/Certifications:

  • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I & II
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager
  • Experience with Project Solve SharePoint (PSSP)
  • Proficient in computer programs/engineering software necessary to perform these duties, such as Microsoft Office Suite, MAC, AASHTO Project Construction (PrC)
