Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our Florida CEI program. The successful candidate will work on fast-paced, short-duration projects within Florida, primarily on FDOT projects consisting of milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently on FDOT projects, including milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation
  • Interact daily with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel
  • Collaborate with a fast-paced, short-duration project team
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of construction schedules and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school or Associate's degree
  • Relevant industry certifications, including:
    • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1
    • CTQP Earthwork Constuction Inspection
    • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level 1
    • FDOT Intermediate MOT
    • Nuclear Radiation Safety
    • Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
    • Critical Structures Construction Issues
    • Seld-Study Course - CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
    • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
    • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Prior FDOT or roadway/highway construction experience
  • Local candidates are preferred

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
