Position Summary: Responsible for the repair, servicing, cleaning, and maintenance of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA regulations. Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience in sheet metal and structural work. This role is classified as "safety sensitive," necessitating strict adherence to all FAA compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all maintenance activities in accordance with FAA-approved data and the high standards of workmanship required by Airbus DS Military Aircraft, Inc.
  • Prioritize flight safety in all tasks to ensure the production of airworthy aircraft.
  • Maintain accurate and clear records on internal company forms and aircraft maintenance documents, adhering to company, customer, and FAA standards.
  • Utilize the appropriate tools for each task, ensuring they are serviceable and calibrated as needed.
  • Identify, comprehend, and apply the relevant technical data while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Execute any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • As a "safety sensitive" role, maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely as a fundamental job function.
  • Keep the assigned work area organized and free from hazards for personnel and aircraft.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of hearing and eye protection, handling of chemicals, and fall protection measures.
  • Ensure a Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-free work environment.
  • Comply with OSHA Safety Regulations.
  • Participate in on-the-job training as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
  • Regular attendance is required as per company policy.

Additional Information:

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Training in Airframe and Power Plant with a focus on Structures and Composites

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in structures and composites.
  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance is essential.
  • Familiarity with turbo prop aircraft is advantageous.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • FAA certification with a current Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license is preferred but not mandatory.

Communication Skills:

  • Proficiency in English is required; bilingual skills in Spanish are beneficial but not essential.

Travel Requirements:

  • Potential for 10% domestic and international travel.

Eligibility:

  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and manual dexterity, including working in confined spaces.
