Position Overview:
We are collaborating with a leading organization in the aerospace sector, renowned for its innovative designs and manufacturing of aerospace products and services on a global scale. This company stands as a prominent figure in the commercial aircraft industry, with significant divisions in Space, Defense, and Helicopters, making it a top-tier aeronautics and space entity worldwide.
The Aircraft Structures Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft sheet metal components, composite materials, and hydraulic systems. All tasks must be performed and documented in accordance with the relevant manuals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance activities following FAA-approved guidelines and uphold high standards of workmanship as required by clients.
- Prioritize flight safety in all operations to ensure the production of airworthy aircraft.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities on internal forms and aircraft maintenance records, adhering to company, client, and FAA standards.
- Utilize appropriate tools for each task, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and calibrated as necessary.
- Identify, comprehend, and apply the correct technical data during maintenance procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain a heightened state of alertness and safety, as this role is classified as 'safety sensitive.'
- Keep the work area organized and free from hazards that could endanger personnel or aircraft.
- Adhere to all essential safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and precautions against potential hazards.
- Ensure a Foreign Object Damage (FOD) free environment.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations.
- Engage in on-the-job training as required.
- Follow established safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain regular attendance as per company guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Training in Airframe and Power Plant with a focus on Structures and Composites.
- 5-10 years of experience in structures and composite work.
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance is essential.
- Familiarity with turbo prop aircraft is advantageous.
- Possession of a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license is preferred but not mandatory.
