Job Summary

The City of Philadelphia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a critical part in implementing the Law Department's various DEI and belonging initiatives, fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Professional Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in furthering the goals of the City Solicitor and the Executive Team.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support diversity and inclusion initiatives, such as heritage month celebrations, Mansfield Rule participation, outreach, and more.
  • Coordinate affinity group meetings, diversity and inclusion events, programming, and educational campaigns.
  • Update and maintain the internal diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional development website.
  • Assist in professional development initiatives and events, including training and data analysis.
  • Compile and organize data for periodic reports on diversity and inclusion, professional development, and recruiting.
  • Support recruiting activities, including sourcing, resume screening, scheduling, and coordinating interviews.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify the right talent and ensure goals are met.
  • Propose and implement ongoing innovations and improvements to the recruitment process.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other virtual platforms.
