Job Summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Addiction Recovery Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our programs and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the functional operations of the residential program and facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients.
  • Implement and enforce Volunteers of America policies and house rules, promoting a culture of respect and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed written records of events, client sign-in/sign-out logs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct regular facility tours and grounds checks, identifying and reporting maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Provide transportation and childcare services as needed, ensuring the well-being of clients and their families.
  • Participate in training and clinical supervision, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with the PQI Committee to identify and implement Performance Quality Improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of post-secondary education preferred.
  • Two years of prior experience in a treatment facility or related field; specialized knowledge and experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required; CPR/First Aid certification a must within 30 days of employment.
