Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Operations: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Team Leadership: Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality, and train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritize as needed, and monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary.
  • Store Maintenance: Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and maintain all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors, and able to train others.
