Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Infrastructure.
Schedule & Remote Work Requirements
This is a full-time role with a standard Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role offers flexibility with hybrid, remote, or in-office work arrangements. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
To be successful in a remote capacity, you will need:
- High-speed, reliable internet access
- A dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home
- Willingness to participate in video virtual meetings with your camera on
Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:
- Gain a deep understanding of complex problems and design comprehensive test cases for both web and local environments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Test proposed changes to hardware, software, and reporting systems, both within our internal environment and at customer sites.
- Analyze reported issues, troubleshoot problems effectively, and document potential solutions.
- Develop a strong understanding of how our product functions and its applications for our clients.
- Diagnose, track, and manage the resolution of quality issues through to completion. This includes collaborating on change requests and building testing for both main and beta software releases.
- Participate in onsite installations and provide product support for beta sites.
- Document and report test outcomes by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data.
- Work closely with the development team to reproduce, investigate, and debug software issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A foundational understanding of software testing methodologies, analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with database fundamentals in Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases.
- The ability to create clear and concise documentation for testing procedures and guidelines that benefit the entire team.
- Strong analytical skills to design effective test plans and evaluate outcomes accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey test results.
Preferred Skills
The following skills are highly desirable:
- Experience with VMWare, Octopus, and Chef.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- A deep understanding of the role testing plays in quality-focused agile development projects.
