Wilmington, Delaware, United States Resource 1 Homecare Staffing Full time
About the Role:

This Palliative Nurse Practitioner position at Resource 1 Homecare Staffing offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during challenging times. You will be part of a legacy of care that spans over four decades, serving as a trusted community partner in end-of-life education and support.

As a Palliative Nurse Practitioner, you will provide compassionate care to patients with serious illnesses and their families, working in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Key responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and social needs, prescribing medications and treatments to manage symptoms, and participating in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions across the care continuum.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), a current Delaware nursing license, CPR certification, and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care. Certification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Hospice and Palliative Care is also desirable.

In addition to your skills and qualifications, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $100,000 - $112,000 per year, mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate, and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, pre-tax healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and a 403(B) retirement fund with company contribution after two years of service.

We are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and advancement, including our RN Career Ladders Program. Our collaborative work environment with an interdisciplinary team offers extensive experience and creative problem-solving opportunities. We also prioritize staff and community education on palliative care and end-of-life issues.

The schedule for this position includes Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm, with some on-call responsibilities. Productivity expectations include 20 visits per week, primarily home-based visits in New Castle County.
