The Department of Pharmaceutical Services at the University of California San Francisco provides a full range of services for patients cared for by the UCSF Medical Center and its providers and payors. These services include drug procurement, storage, and security; safe, accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the Medical Center; drug information services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs.
Responsibilities- Provides pharmaceutical care to patients at all acute care pharmacy areas and specialized services to researchers on campus.
- Performs all activities related to medication preparation, medication distribution, and inventory management.
- Works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure the safe and accurate preparation and distribution of medications.
- Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
