Data Center Construction Project Manager Job Description

Weeks Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Construction Project Manager to lead our large-scale data center project in Reno, NV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, commissioning agents, and other third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed work plans, financial estimates, schedules, timelines, and status reports to ensure project success.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards, and ensure their implementation in the field.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Lead high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring, providing leadership to positively influence change.
  • Manage vendor integration within project scope and ensure contractor work meets design intent.
  • Provide regular progress updates to management and clients, ensuring clear, concise, and friendly communication.
  • Maintain strong business relations with clients and ensure solutions to technical problems through discussions with technical teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Owner's Representative, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience on data center projects of $100,000,000 and larger.
  • Prior experience leading data center projects (4-6 years minimum)
  • Significant experience with commercial building, general contractor preferred, construction experience mandatory.
  • Extensive experience managing the build process for large, fast-paced data center projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.
  • Must be experienced with the design process of building systems for data center and mission-critical projects.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and software, including MS Project and P6.
  • Experience with Procore a plus.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision and lead complex projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a team player attitude.
