Job Title: Assistant Director of Resident Care

The Aspenwood Company, a leader in the senior living industry, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Resident Care to join our team at Clayton Oaks Living, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior living community.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate leader to provide leadership for resident care in our community. The successful candidate will direct the administration of assisted living and memory care neighborhoods, promoting the health and wellness of our resident population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and lead the resident care team in assisted living and memory care.
  • Direct and lead the resident services program.
  • Interview, train, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Assist the Business Office Manager with new hire paperwork, time sheets, and medication associate evaluations.
  • Participate in on-call duties for staffing and clinical needs.
Wellness Program
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Director of Resident Care to ensure the following are completed:
  • Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of Care Assistants in following the resident service plan and completing tasks for assigned services.
  • Initiate resident service plans according to individualized needs of the resident as prescribed by physician and/or community policy.
  • Ensure all daily services are completed by the care assistants and service plans are updated swiftly when changes are reported.
  • Manage the health care of all residents, including dissemination of information to families, staff, physicians, and third-party providers.
Medication Program
  • Understand the medication program and assist the Director of Resident Care as necessary:
  • Assure that all medications prescribed have orders, are available, and are transcribed correctly in the EMAR by auditing medication records and charts frequently.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the resident, resident's family, physician, and pharmacy regarding the resident's medication needs.
Education and Experience

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 1 year of related experience in senior care or related health programs. Assisted Living Memory Care Management Experience is required, and Assisted Living Memory Care Experience is preferred. A graduate of an accredited LPN program is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN in Arkansas, current CPR certification, and valid Continuing Education credits as required by the State. A valid Driver's License is also required.
