About the Role

Affirmed Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide to provide essential care to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring they can maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring clients follow prescribed dietary guidelines.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and tidying up.
  • Monitor and record changes in the client's physical or emotional condition.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a warm and nurturing environment.
Requirements
  • Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 6 months - 1 year experience in home care, elder care, or related fields.
  • Genuine compassion for the elderly and disabled, with a patient and empathetic approach to caregiving.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and report on client care effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
