Job Summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking an experienced part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Glen Cove clinic. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent occupational dysfunction.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one treatment to patients, developing and implementing individually designed programs to meet their unique needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and carry out occupational treatment plans, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Instruct family members, PTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques to support patient care and recovery.
  • Customize splint fabrication for patients to promote optimal healing and function.
  • Evaluate patient effects and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve maximum benefit.
Requirements
  • Occupational Therapist Program Graduate.
  • NY Occupational Therapy License or eligibility.
  • 1+ years of practicing OT experience.
  • Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid.
