Job Title: Communication Specialist for Speech and Swallowing Disorders

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP, you will play a key role in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to enhance patients' quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic services to improve speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders, treatment plans, and strategies for improving functional abilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Current and valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
