We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital. This per diem position will involve providing speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.
As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet each individual's unique needs.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess patients' communication, speech, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication, speech, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all clinical activities and maintain accurate records to support high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) certification from the State of Pennsylvania.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
