Job Title: Italian Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Italian Clerk to join our team at Hy-Vee, Inc. As an Italian Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and friendly customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that customer needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Prepare and present food products, including pizzas, breadsticks, and other Italian specialties.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in inventory management, receiving and stocking products as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions:

This position is located in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to noise, temperature extremes, and cleaning chemicals. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Equipment Used:

This position requires the use of various equipment, including ovens, steamers, scales, mixers, and cash registers.

Contacts:

This position has frequent contact with internal customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
