Job Title: Italian Clerk - Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Italian Clerk to join our team at Hy-Vee, Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and friendly customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Take orders accurately and efficiently, using our CARS program to ensure seamless transactions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving and stocking products, and maintaining accurate records.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including preparing pizza dough and breadsticks, and operating equipment such as the oven and steamer.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months or less of similar or related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20-25 pounds occasionally, and exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
• Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, and field of vision.

Working Conditions:

This position is continually exposed to flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes. There is occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals/solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment with significant pressure.

Equipment Used:

Oven, steamer, scale, big mixer, shrink wrap machine, CARS program, register, walk-in cooler, pizza cutter, knives, and slice cases.
