Job Overview

The Credit and Market Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's exposure is managed effectively in areas related to credit risk, market risk, and evaluating new opportunities and potential risks presented by potential new clients or products.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform due diligence on client portfolios to assess liquidity, inherent risks, and possible exposure to the firm.
  • Review account margin status and option/trading strategies to anticipate risk to the account, intermediary, and ETCB based on market dynamics and underlying collateral.
  • Conduct oversight of operations trading areas that service accounts and financial intermediaries as the first line of defense.
  • Provide oversight on concentrated positions within accounts and at the firm.
  • Partner with ETCB operations and additional areas to identify stress testing scenarios, proactive risk indicators, ongoing monitoring programs.
  • Build key risk indicators, metrics, and analytics to measure the firm's adherence to risk appetite while providing insight on proactive risk management.
  • Coordinate with finance, trading, and operations as needed to manage market events or client transactions.
  • Represent ETCB in interactions with institutional clients (Registered Investment Advisors, Broker-Dealers, Counterparties) on ETCB risk framework and management approach.
  • Stay ahead of emerging market news, developments, and trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

5-7 years of prior experience in market, credit, and collateral risk management.

Prior experience in areas of Market Risk Surveillance, Credit Risk Management, Complex Option strategies, Regulation T, FINRA 4210 Margin Requirements.

Problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

Professional Certifications

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is preferred.

If you do not already have a Securities license relevant to your role at Innovayte, you will be required to take and pass the Securities Industries Essentials exam provided by FINRA.

In addition, based on your role responsibilities, you may also be required to pass additional Securities Industry exams to allow you to be compliant with FINRA and the SEC.

Technical Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
  • Python, SQL queries, and VBA skills are desired.
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data and present status reports to the leadership team.
  • Familiarity with trading systems such as FIS Phase 3.
