At Safe Children Coalition Inc, we are dedicated to supporting the vital work of child welfare in our communities. Our Learning and Professional Development Department collaborates closely with case management teams to design, implement, and evaluate training programs for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and standards.
  • Conduct research on best practices and compliance standards, integrating findings into training modules.
  • Provide current information on relevant rules, contract obligations, and policies impacting child welfare services.
  • Facilitate professional development initiatives by transforming analysis recommendations into effective training resources.
  • Offer guidance and support to child welfare personnel, enhancing their competencies in service delivery.
  • Evaluate the proficiency of staff in executing child welfare services under standard supervision.
  • Recommend certification for child welfare professionals based on thorough assessments of their skills and competencies.

Requirements:

Additional trainer-specific qualifications may be determined based on certification needs.

Current Child Welfare certification is preferred.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in psychology, social work, or a related human services field, along with at least three years of experience in child welfare. Experience in training or supervision within the child welfare domain is preferred.
