Automotive Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Firestone Complete Auto Care. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues, while providing exceptional customer service and leading a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Diagnostics: Use your technical expertise to diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems issues.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead a team of technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, transmission fluid changes, and tire maintenance.
  • Parts Installation: Install new parts and components, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs.
  • Road Testing: Conduct thorough road tests to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and possess a valid automobile driver's license.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • Certifications: A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is preferred, or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
