Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Equipment Technician 2 to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. This role will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment in our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and make repairs on retail equipment
  • Provide support to new stores, remodels, and PAD programs
  • Perform housekeeping tasks, including vehicle inventory and cleaning, credit card statements, and other paperwork
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years' experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis of commercial food preparation equipment
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Natural/Propane Gas certifications within 180 days of hire
  • Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
  • Willingness to travel to stores throughout the retail division
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in electrical motor control repairs from an Industrial Mechanical Trade School
  • Six or more years' experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Knowledge of CMMS computer program
