Construction Project Coordinator

Overview:
The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in the comprehensive management of construction projects on a daily basis.
This position involves active participation in various activities necessary for sourcing, pursuing, and executing projects, which include cost estimation, contract management, scheduling, and risk-quality oversight.

Core Duties:
1. Identify and pursue opportunities for business development while fostering positive client relationships to encourage future projects.
2. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including detailed quantity take-offs and pricing strategies.
3. Engage in bid solicitation, preparation of bid packages, and thorough analysis of bids.
4. Assist in the preparation and administration of general contracts and subcontracts.
5. Prepare necessary permit applications for project compliance.
6. Maintain up-to-date construction documentation, including as-built drawings.
7. Manage and process shop drawings and submittals efficiently.
8. Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
9. Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process to clarify project details.
10. Document and distribute minutes from project coordination meetings.
11. Monitor project timelines to ensure compliance with critical deadlines.
12. Initiate, review, and negotiate change orders as necessary.
13. Oversee the complete project close-out process, including the creation and fulfillment of punch lists.
14. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (such as civil, architectural, or construction), construction management, or a related field is required.
0-2 years of experience in the construction sector is preferred.
Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate for job assignments is essential.
Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules is necessary.
Capability to analyze and resolve complex challenges, offering alternative solutions.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills are crucial.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, is expected.
Key success factors include a passion for the industry, self-motivation, a strong work ethic, effective time management, organization, attention to detail, and creativity.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship from our company now or in the future.
