Job Title: Dispatcher

Job Summary: The Dispatcher will serve as a key communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. This individual will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles, ensuring seamless communication between parties. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, remain calm and composed in emergency situations, and be able to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls
• Gather location and personal information from callers
• Dispatch available units to the appropriate location
• Maintain accurate logs of all calls and dispatched units
• Enter call information and records into the database
• Prioritize simultaneous emergency scenarios
• Monitor the location and activity of units in the area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of dispatching experience preferred
• Job-specific training required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a clean background and pass a drug screen

Work Environment: The Dispatcher will work primarily in the dispatch office, receiving and directing calls. The majority of time will be spent sitting at a computer and/or radio dispatch unit. The environment can be highly stressful and fast-paced, with varying shifts from day to night.
