Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and services. As a RN with the Good Samaritan Society, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Provide preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment to residents in all phases of care.
  • Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and provide education and support to residents and their families.
  • May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
