Fire Protection Engineer

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems for various clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and analyze fire protection systems, including suppression systems, fire detection, alarm, and communication systems.
- Conduct fire and life safety code analysis and egress analysis.
- Develop engineering judgments for code alternatives and design fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline design teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients and internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum three years of experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk software.
- Experience with fire protection engineering modeling software, such as CONTAM, fire dynamic simulation, and Pathfinder.
- PE, NICET level III/IV, or EIT certification.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.
- Experience with energy storage systems.
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 annually.
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
- Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
- Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
- 401(k) with maximum 5% contribution matching for 9% employee contribution.
