Position Summary:

The Retail Sales and Material Handler plays a vital role in supporting store management with the daily operations of the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional service.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure merchandise is rotated effectively.
  • Operate the cash register and ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, including performing daily cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Support the receipt and processing of new merchandise.
  • Engage in cross-training for various retail functions as required.
  • Participate in store meetings and training sessions as assigned.
  • Fulfill additional duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions.
  • Basic math skills are required.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of customer service principles and experience working with the public is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a cash register and calculator.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Collaborative attitude towards team members and supervisors.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
