Position: Heavy Equipment Operator

Position Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient management of waste at our facilities. This position involves the proficient operation of various heavy machinery to ensure safe and effective waste compaction and movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of machinery to maintain optimal functionality and safety standards.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as compactors, excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and off-road trucks, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Monitor incoming waste materials for compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Regularly assess the condition of equipment to ensure readiness for operation, performing maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including Equipment Condition Reports, and communicate any repair needs to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in operating heavy equipment.
  • At least one year of experience in environments regulated by safety standards.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude towards colleagues and customers.
  • Effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations diligently.
