Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Brasfield & Gorrie. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project business plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with field management to create job-specific safety plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Work with pre-construction and field supervision teams to identify and implement contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and manage project staging, logistics, and phasing plans, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Lead coordination of subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Develop and administer subcontractor and purchase order change orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve material/equipment invoices, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit payment requests, monitoring collections and ensuring timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with city and state agencies to review project progress and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Attend OAC progress meetings and create monthly status reports, providing stakeholders with accurate and timely project information.
  • Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of construction experience, with a proven track record of project management success.
  • Ability to perform assistant project manager duties proficiently.
  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting systems.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
