Activities Coordinator

ANGELS CARE HEALTH HUDSON MANOR is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing daily and weekly activities for residents, taking into account their physical and emotional limitations. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement daily and weekly activities for residents, including games, exercises, and other engaging activities.
• Request materials and supplies related to activities from the Assistant Administrator or Resident Care Supervisor.
• Maintain good hygiene and practice proper hand washing technique for infection control.
• Report any resident behavior or physical concerns immediately to the Assistant Administrator or Resident Care Supervisor.
• Complete Resident Observation Reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with meals by helping with serving and bussing tables, while being mindful of dietary restrictions.
• Take residents shopping when needed and provide assistance as required.
• Read the Communication Log daily to stay informed about previous shift events.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to read, write, speak clearly, and follow written and oral instructions. You should also be able to manage stress appropriately, handle multiple priorities, and make decisions under pressure. Additionally, you must be thoroughly familiar with all policies and procedures of the facility and be able to recognize unusual behavior or physical conditions of residents.
Work Environment:
This role requires moderate physical demands, including frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling during work.
