Key Project Focus Areas:
  • Design and planning for parks, recreational areas, and trails.
  • Enhancements for urban parks, plazas, streetscapes, and transportation corridors.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in a collaborative environment, assisting clients in the planning, design, and execution of impactful projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Guide design teams and consultants through all phases of design, from initial concepts to final construction.
  • Encourage a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and foster a supportive office culture.
  • Lead project teams to ensure timely completion while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in producing construction document sets, including FDOT standards, hardscape, planting, construction details, specifications, and bidding packages.
  • Possess experience in master planning for parks, trails, and recreational facilities.
  • Familiarity with FDOT landscape design is advantageous.
  • Understand construction methodologies and implementation processes.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and high motivation.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying scales and complexities concurrently.
  • Anticipate client and project needs effectively.
  • Communicate proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess exceptional design capabilities.
  • Be adept with software applications such as AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Florida registration as a Professional Landscape Architect, or the ability to obtain registration within a year.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience showcasing leadership skills as a Professional Landscape Architect.
  • Experience in preparing proposals and scope of work documents, as well as reviewing invoices.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to meet project demands.
  • Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a letter of interest, resume, and project portfolio or work samples that highlight their skills and contributions to collaborative projects.
