Patient Care Associate E4 Med/Surg Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Associate to join our E4 Med/Surg Unit team at Albany Medical Center. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and report patient data, including vital signs, height and weight, and food and fluid intake and output.
- Participate in care planning and the nursing report process.
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, oral care, and skin care.
- Assist patients with eating and hydration, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Employ safe patient handling techniques and promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent required.
- Less than 1 year experience in a healthcare setting or completion of certified nurse assistant course preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. The ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members is essential.
