ROLE SUMMARY:
In the role of Parts Sales Specialist at Beltway Companies, you will be instrumental in addressing the parts requirements of our clientele. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Processing daily parts orders, managing incoming shipments, and overseeing inventory management.
- Collaborating across various departments to ensure effective physical and electronic inventory management.
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of the annual parts inventory.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient parts area.
- Providing assistance to counter sales representatives and handling phone inquiries as necessary.
- Responding swiftly and proactively to customer inquiries regarding parts and any potential delays.
- Efficiently recording and identifying required parts, assessing availability and pricing.
- Completing customer orders by sourcing parts from stock or local suppliers, ensuring precise sales transactions.
- Monitoring order statuses, addressing any issues promptly, and informing customers upon the arrival of parts.
Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation, warehouse, parts, or service settings is essential.
- A technical school degree in automotive or diesel repair, parts counter experience, or experience with vehicle/heavy-duty equipment repairs is preferred.
- Familiarity with various vehicle types is advantageous.
- Knowledge of wholesale distribution is a plus.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer skills and an understanding of PC systems are necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
- A collaborative mindset focused on customer satisfaction is essential.
- Problem-solving abilities and a basic understanding of algebra/geometry are beneficial.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- A high energy level is required for continuous movement throughout the work shift.
