Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Midnight Sun Global Services is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the Joint Base Lewis-McChord area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily site visits, submitting progress reports, scheduling subcontractors, and coordinating material suppliers. They will also participate in pre-construction site visits, pre-final inspections, and final inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in design development meetings with architects and engineers to assess scope of work and sequencing.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop staffing requirements, labor productivity rates, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
  • Maintain a physical presence at the job site and oversee all construction and related activities.
  • Participate in site visits and meetings to assess scope of work, site conditions, and logistics planning.
  • Prepare and provide job reports, including labor and equipment usage, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Ensure an uncompromising commitment to safety.
Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience in journeyman-level work in construction, with no less than 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and plans.
  • Ability to prioritize, assign, and oversee work of multiple crews.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of e4Clicks Project Estimator software.
  • EM 385 Safety certification.
Work Environment:
  • Performance of the required job duties will be in a construction environment, which may include various weather conditions.
  • Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.
Physical Demands:
  • The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far or uneven.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, and talk.
  • Ability to frequently use hands to finger and handle.
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and squat.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
