POSITION OVERVIEW

SPX Flow is in search of a detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst. In this role within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will contribute to the formulation of SPX Flow's quarterly financial projections and annual budgeting efforts, playing a crucial role in advancing financial strategies throughout the organization. The FP&A team serves as a data-centric and strategic resource for upper management, functioning as the analytical backbone of the company by providing insights and facilitating informed business decisions through forecasting, financial modeling, and comprehensive analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Finance Analyst will be an integral part of the Finance department, actively working to achieve and surpass financial objectives. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A for the Mixer's Portfolio, this position will provide analytical support and reporting on financial outcomes. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to monitor and evaluate forecasts
  • Assisting in the development of tailored analytics to assess profitability across various business segments and products
  • Providing financial insights and analysis to business partners to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Compiling, reconciling, and reviewing financial outcomes against budget/forecast and previous years, aiding in the development of revised forecasts
  • Identifying and clarifying variances to offer insights to key stakeholders
  • Delivering data and analytical support for the Company's quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning initiatives
  • Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for predictive modeling, while identifying business performance drivers
  • Monitoring site performance against forecasts
  • Supporting the capital expenditure approval process
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations to communicate the Company's financial results and forecasts to senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Engaging in continuous improvement projects
  • Driving, developing, and enhancing standard processes and procedures by identifying trends, inefficiencies, and gaps in financial operations
  • Offering actionable recommendations to tackle challenges, streamline processes, boost productivity, and enhance financial performance
  • Ensuring consistent reporting and tracking of productivity
  • Participating in additional projects as assigned that align with departmental and enterprise goals
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with OneStream is required
  • Familiarity with PowerBi, SAP, and BW4Hana is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets, along with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements
  • Experience in applying mathematical concepts in report and spreadsheet preparation
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and solid business acumen
  • Demonstrated work ethic and personal accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the capacity to work independently
  • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills with meticulous attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst is required
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is essential
  • Strong financial and data analysis capabilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Good verbal and written communication skills complemented by interpersonal abilities
