About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Crewing Coordinator Specialist to join our team at G&H Towing.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role is responsible for coordinating crew watch change processes, practices, and systems to ensure vessels are properly crewed with credentialed and qualified mariners. Key interactions include G&H employees, executive leadership, client leadership, mariners, industry associates, and 3rd party vendors.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have strong analytical and time management skills.

A valid merchant mariner credential and Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) are preferred qualifications for this role. The ability to pass and maintain all mandatory training is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure vessels are crewed based on business needs
  • Manage mariners in the training program, assigning them to vessels and monitoring progress
  • Meet regularly with port captains and engineers to review crewing assignments
  • Develop crewing action plans prior to meetings
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the maritime industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
Working Conditions

This role involves working in an office setting, with occasional out-of-regional travel required. Work hours will typically be Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility to accommodate special tasks or assignments.
