We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Designated Supervisor of Locomotive Engineers to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of locomotives and trains in specific areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and conductors to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Oversee the operation of locomotives and trains, ensuring adherence to train orders, bulletins, wayside signals, and railroad operating rules.
- Develop, train, and implement Title 49, CFR, Part 240/242 Plans.
- Coordinate with Safety, Training, and Compliance Managers to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Locomotive Engineer Certification.
- Completed an approved GCOR Training Program in the last 3 years.
- 2 years of experience as a supervisor for an FRA-regulated railroad.
- 7 years' experience as a railroad engineer for an FRA-regulated railroad.
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Work prolonged periods on your feet in the shop environment or outdoors.
- Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Competitive salary range: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 depending on experience/qualifications.
